The most important thing when it comes to learning how to draw is to simply start. Even if you feel like all you can draw right now is a simple stick figure, just START. By putting pencil to paper, you will naturally begin expanding your skillset and building your confidence as an artist.

Learning Figure Drawing & Character Creation From Scratch

We actually use basic stick figures as blueprints to help build a character’s anatomy, helping you master posing and positioning before we ever dive into the finer, complex details.
While daily drawing practice isn't always the most exciting routine, it is absolutely necessary to improve your art. The more you step out of your comfort zone and practice, the better your artwork will become.
Overcoming the Artist's Block and Tracking Growth
As an artist, working and practicing to improve can often feel like an uphill battle. Because you see your own work every day, you might not notice your own immediate improvements and growth.
When you feel discouraged, pull out your old sketchbooks from a few months ago, or show your newest work to your friends and family. They will almost certainly notice your artistic growth and how much your line work and posing have improved!
In the end, the best advice I can offer to any aspiring artist is to practice as much as you can, regularly review your lessons, and put in the work. You will see your progress.
